Our office has no bulky charts to file or store. Every part of a patient’s record--including billing information, documentation, and digital x-rays--is stored on our onsite server. All this information is securely saved in our server with redundant hard drives throughout the whole day. At the end of the business day a removable back up disk is taken off site as added security. This allows our staff members to access patients’ records quickly and accurately without searching for bulky paper charts. With a paperless office, bulky patient charts cannot be misfiled or lost. Our practice also offers state of the art digital x-rays. We have implemented VisualiX eHD digital CCD sensors by Gendex to take the x-rays. The VisualiX digital sensor is ergonomically contoured for maximum patient comfort. The high definition image shows unparalleled clarity and crispness, which enables our doctor to diagnose decay and pathology that may have been missed with traditional film. In addition to crisper images, digital x-rays use 90% less radiation than traditional x-rays. Digital x-ray images are instantly presented on a flat panel LCD screen. Since the x-rays are stored immediately on our onsite server, there is no waiting time for results. Implementing a totally digital office allows our staff complete access to every patient record at the click of a mouse.
